2008 marked the birth of RS Industry, the business unit responsible for the implementation and operation of the industrial projects (manufacturing and extraction) within the Group’s project portfolio. RS Industry will be the driving force of all new industrial projects introduced by the Group, utilizing “global best practices” to establish and implement projects.
2009 marked the start of the construction within the first industrial park of the Group with an advanced factory of tiles and bricks for the construction industry. Botomona Industrial Park,comprising 225 hectares in which this ceramics factory is inserted, marks a turning point in offering integrated solutions in Angola. Botamona will offer a comprehensive solution for the deployment of light, medium and heavy industry, a logistics center, and also a retail park and business center providing complementary services, including hotels.
Additional factories, currently in the planning stages, include a truck and off-road vehicle tire re-treading plant, a ceramic tile adhesive plant, a steel tube manufacturing plant, and an aluminum door and window assembly plant.
